The Manoir is owned by Simone who is a professional wine maker and lover of horses.   Simone adores everything original and quirky and has lovingly decorated her home with original art, sculpture, ceramics and fabrics. We are thrilled that Simone has decided to share the Manoir with our guests.

You will book your holiday through Tamar who owns Rural Escapes – a collection of hand picked exceptional self-catering houses in areas of outstanding natural beauty in Portugal, Southern Spain, the Limousin in France, the Greek Island of Syros, Cumbria and North Wales.  https://www.ruralescapes.co.uk/

Your point of contact will be Linne who will try to meet you on arrival and will be on hand if you need anything. Edourda  (the housekeeper - who keeps the Manoir spotlessly clean) will change your towels mid-week and the gardener - Manuel - is often popping around and will clean the pool during your stay.  

You will no doubt meet our new miniature goats who are very friendly - be careful though as they will eat anything!

You will have the opportunity to buy some our our homemade wine, jams and marmalades via our honesty box. You can also order a seasonal organic veg/fruit box.   During the summer you will be able to participate in yoga or tai chi sessions in the gardens.  A lovely local chef is happy to cook for you your during your stay.If you love our organic hand soaps then you will be able to buy some!).

We had a lovely time at the Manoir. The house was just like in the pictures and everyone involved were so kind and helpful. The house was equipped and stocked with everything that we could possibly need. The welcome spread of local food and drinks was such a generous touch. The weather wasn't so great during our stay, but the house was big enough for us all to stay indoors, sit by the fire and just relax without feeling that we were on top of each other. We hired their recommended chef, Momme, for two evenings. His food was divine and he was so kind. We would love to come back and visit again soon.

A group of us stayed at the Manoir to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had been searching for somewhere that was beautiful, secluded and yet not isolated, easily accessible and perfect for our get together. The Manoir ticked all of these boxes and ensured that we all had an unforgettable holiday with a group of friends. We hired Momme (the local chef) to cook for us – he prepared an exceptional and yet very reasonable feast for us. We highly recommend the villa, the area and, of course, the wonderful chef who happens to live just around the corner. Book The Manoir – you won’t regret it.

Gorgeous house on a quiet hillside with beautiful views in a very unspoilt area of the Eastern Algarve. We were a party of eight adults and three children under three and there was ample room. A lovely combination of quiet spaces and communal living in a well furnished extremely pretty house. Ample outside and inside eating areas and a garden full of fig trees. A great success.

The Manoir was exceptional in a stunning location in the hills - very peaceful and secluded but also very close to the lovely market towns of Sao Bras and Loule (great markets!).  The views from the terrace were spectacular.. The houskeeper looked after us with clean towels and fresh flowers mid - stay and we felt thoroughly spoiled! We loved our time at the villa and really didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning villa, 12 of us rented the villa for our friends birthday surprise and it was nothing but a delightful experience from start to finish. Tamar was amazing and helpful when it came to booking it all quickly, Anna was amazing help with getting to the villa and showing us around the villa and getting us settled in. Honestly a magical stay and would recommend to anybody wanting to book a lovely getaway.

The Manoir was a simply amazing place to stay - the house was simply beautiful, just like the pictures but even more fabulous. The pool was a great size which suited our party of 10 (ages 7 - 74!). It is a peaceful haven with views across the valley, plenty of space with loads of lovely places to sit and relax. It was spotlessly clean and each room having its own decor and style. Anna was a great help with expert local knowledge and was on hand for any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay at The Manoir - we all wished we could have stayed longer.

"Le Manoir was the venue for a Covid delayed family reunion, bringing together people from Spain, the UK, and the US over a two week period. The room layout was such that teenagers and adults could all find bedrooms to their taste. Dining options were plentiful, both indoors and out, while the kitchen provided another gathering place, as well as having excellent appliances (especially the Aga.) The owners met us on arrival, while Anna and her crew kept the place in shape on their weekly visits and Manuelo dropped off eggs, honey, and other products from the farm. We can’t wait to go back!"
