Your first glimpse of the Manoir will set the scene for your holiday. This 19th Century, Portuguese blue painted villa, framed with vines and hibiscus, sits majestically in a prominent position on a large, gated private Estate in this unspoiled area of the Eastern Algarve and yet only 25 minutes from Faro Airport!  The house has been lovingly restored - retaining many of its original features, whilst offering the guests good wifi, smart T.V’S and all “mod cons”. The enormous farmhouse kitchen has everything that you could possibly need and makes cooking a joy. The large wooden refectory table seats up to 12 people comfortably.   A contemporary Perspex screen across the door, looking across the gardens, floods the room with light (whilst keeping out any pesky flies). The dining room with its huge antique table has comfortable seating for all of you and will be laid ready for your arrival.

The living room with its comfortable furniture is just through the arch. The paintings and wall hangings have been chosen with care and each compliments the other. There is a wood burning stove for chilly evenings out of season – help yourself to logs. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor (one en-suite and an additional shower room) with a further two bedrooms (both en-suite) upstairs. The 6th bedroom with its cosy snug and bathroom is on the mezzanine.  Crisp Egyptian Cotton bedding, fluffy towels and pretty occasional furniture adds to the charm. There is fixed air-con in three of the bedrooms with further portable air-con units in the others – plus mosquito screens on all the bedroom windows.  We provide lovely organic locally made hand soaps and toiletries which you will have the opportunity to buy whilst staying with us https://www.algarvecandleco.com/about-us

But, the star of the show has to be the gardens……..and the pool……….and the views……….and the seclusion. The outside areas are carefully tended by Manuel – with extensive lawns, olive, avocado and carob trees, vines, citrus and vegetables. Help yourselves to a lemon for your gin and tonic.  The private pool, with poolside furniture, is 16m long – 1mtr deep at the shallow end and 2.35 at the deep end.  This can be heated out of season. Our three miniature goats love making friends with our guests!

There are 2 BBQs (one charcoal and one gas), a built in pizza oven and a covered dining area with large wooden table by the pool - plus another shaded patio just off the kitchen.  The newly constructed Yoga Shala looking across the olive groves is perfect if you would like to enjoy yoga or tai chi whilst staying with us.

The Manoir is a much-loved family home which will wrap you into its embrace.  You will feel very peaceful here whilst only being a short drive to the many sandy beaches that this area is renowned for. Let us spoil you.
